General Terms and Conditions

  • This website is the official website of the publication "International Communist Review" (ICR – Space for Discussion). “ICR” is a form of cooperation between theoretical and political journals of Communist and Workers’ Parties. The content of the issues of "ICR", posted on this website, is a product of this collaboration, and each article is a theoretical - political contribution of the journal - Communist or Workers’ Party and/or the person who signs it.
  • The iccr.gr website is operated and managed by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) [Contact: 141 Heraklion Ave., 14231, N. Ionia, Athens, Greece. Tel: 210.2592194, 210.2592226. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Except as expressly permitted, expressly recognized rights of third parties, all content of the website (including, but not limited to, texts, news, graphics, photographs, outlines, illustrations, audiovisual services, including content of the archives of this website) is the intellectual property of the Communist Party of Greece and is governed by national and international intellectual property provisions. The logos, brand names, trademarks and features contained on the website belong to the Communist Party of Greece and/or to the persons mentioned as the owners of the relevant rights in the website, and are protected in accordance with the current legislation on industrial property.
  • Specifically, the logos-trademarks of the journals - Communist and Workers’ Parties that participate in the "International Communist Review" are the property of the respective Parties.
  • In accordance with these and the provisions of applicable law, it is permissible to individually store and copy parts of the content on a personal computer for strictly personal use, without the intention of commercial exploitation and always under the condition of indicating its source, without this meaning any way the granting of intellectual property rights. It is expressly forbidden to use, reproduce, republish, copy, store, sell, transmit, distribute, publish, render, download, translate, modify in any way, in part or in summary, the content of the website and the services offered to it, except as defined by Law 2121/1993 as in force, and the rules of International Law in force in Greece.
  • In this context, the reproduction of the content of the website is allowed if the source is indicated, unless otherwise specified, while the content should be reproduced in its original form, not edited, or modified in any way and/or used for purposes other than those intended from the outset.
  • When prior authorization is required for the reproduction or use of text and multimedia data (audio, video, etc.), such authorization shall invalidate the above general authorization and shall clearly state any restrictions on its use.

  • We seek to provide the public with access to information about the positions, ideas and elaborations that are developed through the “International Communist Review”.

In the event that errors are detected, we will try to correct them.

  • However, iccr.gr and the Communist Party of Greece makes no guarantee nor bears any liability (explicit or implicit, worded or inferred, nor by negligence) for the above and in general for the suitability of the content of the website and the absence of possible errors. Consequently, visitors/users, visiting the website and/or using its services on their own initiative, assume the relevant responsibility.
  • Every effort is made for the proper and secure operation of the Network and the website.

However, the website or its administrators and servers, cannot guarantee that its operations or its providers and servers will be uninterrupted or be error-free, virus-free, free of malware and other similar components.

In no case are the website icr.gr and the Communist Party of Greece responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, be it loss incurred or gains prevented, of any form (including indicatively loss of profits, data, compensation, etc.), direct, indirect, accidental, incidental or consequential, by its users/visitors, or third parties, due to a reason related to the operation or not, the use of the website, any inability to provide services/information provided by it or by any unauthorized third party interventions in products/services/ information available through it.

The Communist Party of Greece and the website icr.gr reserve the right to modify and/or temporarily or permanently suspend part or all the services of the website, with or without notice to users.

  • These Terms of Use govern the operation, visit and use of iccr.gr as, in principle, and any subdomains thereof, covering content that is controlled and/or owned by the site administrator. In any other case, where a website or service is controlled and/or owned by a third party, natural or legal person, entity, or body, then the latter bears full responsibility for the content and services provided, for the data and rights protection policy of users/visitors, the terms of use and the privacy policy followed, as well as to inform user /visitors of the above. In such cases, the present site and its administrator are also not responsible for the availability, quality and completeness of the content and services provided by third parties. The above applies to cases where a piece of content is "given" by an external provider, as well as in the case of links or hyperlinks and banners, which refer to content/pages controlled by third parties (natural or legal persons).

Obligations-responsibility of users

The user/visitor who uses the services of our website is obliged to do so in accordance with the law, accepted principles of morality, and these terms and not to perform acts or omissions that may cause damage to the operation of the website or the intellectual property right of third parties. Each user/visitor is solely responsible for any content posted, published, sent, transferred, or otherwise made available through the services of the website. The website and its administrator can in no case be held liable for damages or losses of any kind (indicatively, for direct, indirect, accidental, incidental, civil or criminal liability) resulting from actions of the users of the website.

Applicable Law and other terms

The above terms and conditions of use, as well as the use of iccr.gr, are governed by and supplemented by Greek law, as in force, and are interpreted on this basis. Any provision of the above terms that becomes contrary to law, automatically ceases to be valid and is removed from here, without in any way affecting the validity of the other terms. SYNCHRONI EPOCHI and icr.gr reserve the right, within the law, to modify the content or services of the website, as well as to update/modify the terms of use, whenever they deem it necessary and without prior notice, within the current legal framework and by announcing it through its website.

The courts of Athens will have jurisdiction to resolve any dispute that may arise from the use of the website or regarding the interpretation or application of these terms of use or on their occasion.

This constitutes the entire agreement between iccr.gr and the visitor/user of the pages and services and binds only them. No modification of these terms will be considered and will not form part of this agreement unless it has been formulated in writing and incorporated into it.
