PRESS STATEMENT ON THE MEETING OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNIST REVIEW 23/4/2016

The meeting of the Editorial Board of the "International Communist Review" was held on the 23rd of April 2016 at the headquarters of the CC of the KKE.

The meeting discussed various organizational issues of the ICR.

The Journal “Etudes Marxistes” of the Workers Party of Belgium, for its own reasons, decided to cease its participation in the International Communist Review. 

 

The representatives of the communist and workers parties that took part in the meeting of the Editorial Board of the ICR, with a creative, militant spirit, made reference to the important contribution of the “International Communist Review” to the development of the theoretical work and ideological-political struggle against bourgeois and opportunist positions. They also discussed the further strengthening of the journal’s intervention in order to serve the development of the communist movement, to intensify the efforts to study contemporary theoretical-political problems, to disseminate and utilize it in more countries.

 

It also discussed issues regarding the 7th issue of the ICR, which it was decided will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. There was an exchange of views about the international developments and the experiences from the activity of the parties, while a joint statement of the parties for May Day was approved.

Cde Ilya Ferberov, Secretary for Ideological Work of the CC of the Russian Communist Workers’ Party, representing its journal "Sovetski Sojuz".

Cde Raul Martinez, head of the Ideological Committee of the CP of the Peoples of Spain, representing the journal "Propuesta Comunista".

Cde Kemal Okuyan, First Secretary of the CC of the CP, Turkey representing the journal "Gelenek" of the Turkish Communist Party.

Cde Carolus Wimmer, member of the PB and Secretary of International Relations of the CP of Venezuela, representing the journal "Debate Abierto".

Cdes Makis Papadopoulos, member of the CC and Head of the Ideological Committee of the CC of the KKE and Elisseos Vagenas, member of the CC and Responsible for the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE, representing the journal of the KKE, "Kommounistiki Epitheorisi".
